Bodega Otazu Premium Cuvée is produced in the region of Navarra. The vineyards of Otazu have their own microclimate with Atlantic influences and strong northerly winds. The varieties are planted in small, separate plots to allow each to be treated uniquely. After individual hand-harvesting, and rigourous hand sorting, the varieties are fermented in stainless steel before transfer to French oak. The wine is aged in oak for 12 months, and spends 14 months in bottle before release.

 

An intense ruby colour, the nose offers an abundance of red fruits with a spicy, toasty background. Dense and rounded on the palate, with plums and blackberries joined by cinnamon, nutmeg and balsamic. Drink with red meats, stews, hard cheese and even dark chocolate!

Alcohol: 14%

Señorio de Otazu is a Vino de Pago produced in the region of Navarra. The vineyards of Otazu have their own microclimate with Atlantic influences and strong northerly winds.  Vinos de Pago must be single estate wines made from a single traceable parcel. The wines have much lower yields that other DOs and the vines must be older than 10 years old. A blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Hand harvested from individual plots and cold macerated for a week prior to fermentation to allow the aromatics to develop. Aged in new French oak for 16 months and in bottle for 3 years before release.

Deep, brooding cherry colour. An elegant, perfumed nose of spice, mineral and balsamic with fresh forest fruits. Complex and silky in the mouth, with the fresh dark fruits and well integrated toast and spice from the oak.

Alcohol: 14.5%

Grape varieties: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Tempranillo, 5% Merlot.

A unique and special wine from Bodega Otazu.  An estate-grown wine using the very best fruit from the Otazu property in Navarra.  Manual harvest, separately, of each of the varieties and plots, with maceration of a week in cold prior to fermentation.  The wine is aged for more than 5 years before release.

 

Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot. Aged in French oak for 18 months followed by 40 months in bottle. Dark, garnet-red with a ruby rim colour. Very complex nose with mineral notes, ripe dark fruit, truffles, subtle balsamic hints and cedar. Well-structured and elegant palate. Full-bodied wine with a long finish. Great with game, lamb and cured cheese.

This is a super quality Sparkling wine from Burgundy with great intensity of flavours. Lemon zest and baked apples dominate on the nose and palate, joined with dried apricot, toasted almonds and bread dough.

A very pleasing gold colour with peach aromas and honeysuckle with a clean fruity finish. Full and refreshing. Niël Groenewald, winemaker and our good friend at Bellingham is a wine wizard and this is a fantastic example of an amazing South African wine that punches well above its weight.

Hand harvested grapes naturally fermented to preserve the overtly fragrant peach and white pear character. Matured in old oak barrels this complex white is a feast for the senses.
