About:  The Chateau Kirwan 2014 is a wine from the Margaux appellation, located in the Medoc region of Bordeaux’s Left Bank. Chateau Kirwan is an estate ranked Third Growth by the prestigious classification system of 1855, blended in mid-January and is matured in around 40% new oak for 18-22 months.  A wine that can be consumed either quite young or after plenty of time spent ageing in the bottle, the 2014 vintage of Chateau Kirwan is a great and complex Margaux indeed.

Tasting Notes:  The 2014 Château Kirwan, which was a very typical Margaux with violets, crème de cassis and vanilla on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied is fleshy, fruity and juicy with elegant, distinguished tannins, the acidity nicely judged with a precise fruity finish that is long in the mouth. There is lots of precision here compared with fine minerality on the aftertaste.  It is indeed a great Margaux classic.
