About: Danebury Vineyard is based near Stockbridge in Hampshire, on the siteof an historic 19th Century racehorse training yard. The estate is small, family owned vineyard where the vines are grown under dedicated and careful management and only the very best hand-selected grapes are used. This, coupled with highly skilled winemaking and storage in the estate's cellar, enables Danebury Vineyards to produce premium wines for every occasion.
A unusual German grape popularly grown in England Schonburger is a hybrid of Pinot Noir and another grape itself a hybrid of Chasselas and Muscat Hamburg. Winner of a bronze medal in Sommelier Wine Awards 2012 highly commended in WVA &lsquoWine of the Year competition. danebury.com
Tasting Notes: An appealing rich nose with ripe fig rose petal and subtle tropical fruit characters. The palate is full and rich exhibiting a lovely silkiness with a refreshing clean finish. A lovely accompaniment to fish and chicken dishes. Well perfumed citrus and floral bouquet. An array of enticing flavours mingled with alluring aromatic characters. Soft silky and seamless the palate is well balanced delicate and with good length and a clean finish.
