About:

Chateau de Lussac: A Family-Owned Estate Practicing Sustainable Winemaking

  • Founded in 1876, Chateau de Lussac has been in the same family for generations.
  • In 2000, Griet Van Malderen-Laviale and her husband, Hervé, took over the estate and completely revamped the vineyard.
  • Today, Chateau de Lussac is a leader in sustainable winemaking, using practices that protect the environment and produce high-quality wines.
  • The estate's vineyards are located on a terrain of clay and loam, which is ideal for growing Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.
  • Chateau de Lussac produces some of the best wines in the Saint-Emilion region, and its wines have been awarded numerous accolades.

About:  Ruby in colour, this lovely Bordeaux is complex with aromas of black cherries, some subtle notes of spice and roasted nuts.  These continue on to a smooth palate and are perfectly balanced with more black fruits and a touch of vanilla.
