About:   On the 3rd July 1693, the Governor of the Cape, Simon van der Stel, granted the land to Henning Hüsing, who named the farm Meerlust, describing the sense of pleasure he obtained from the sea breezes that blew inland from False Bay. Johannes Albertus Myburgh bought Meerlust in January 1757.
Tasting Notes:  A Bordeaux Blend with a difference!  70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. Matured in Nevers barriques for 24 months. Ultra dark, intense, opaque & concentrated. Exuberant cassis fruit on the nose, black cherry, blackcurrant. Full bodied with a concentrated fruit core wrapped by lush, sleek tannins and an earthy minerality.
Delicious and great value.
