About:  Böen is a translation of The Farm. Part of the stable of wineries of Joseph Wagner the owner of Belle Glos. Joseph has a keen interest in contributing to the evolution of the wine industry, by discovering new winegrowing locations and experimenting in the cellar. Böen wines are an expression of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay made in his signature style of rich, ripe fruit flavors balanced with bright acidity and judicious hints of toasty oak. The AVA specific wines are from the areas around the Belle Glos Single Vineyard sites and the fruit for those wines include some of the Belle Glos fruit. The winery has also acquired land in the areas near and around the Belle Glos Vineyards to share in the fantastic terroir of those areas.

Tasting Notes:  Aromas of ripe blackberry, boysenberry, and red apple followed by hints of tobacco and dry herbs. On the palate there are vibrant flavours of very ripe boysenberry, blueberry and plum pie with layers of rosemary and sage balanced by firm tannins that carry through to a long, structured and mouthwatering finish. Aged in 100% French oak, 60% new.
