About:  Böen is a translation of The Farm. Part of the stable of wineries of Joseph Wagner the owner of Belle Glos. Joseph has a keen interest in contributing to the evolution of the wine industry, by discovering new winegrowing locations and experimenting in the cellar. Böen wines are an expression of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay made in his signature style of rich, ripe fruit flavors balanced with bright acidity and judicious hints of toasty oak. The AVA specific wines are from the areas around the Belle Glos Single Vineyard sites and the fruit for those wines include some of the Belle Glos fruit. The winery has also acquired land in the areas near and around the Belle Glos Vineyards to share in the fantastic terroir of those areas.

Tasting Notes:  This ruby red pinot noir from the moerate to cool climes and gravelly soil of the Russian River. On the nose there are hints of plum, raspberries and blueberries, dried rosemary, and molasses. The palate shows complex layers of blackberries, strawberries, cocoa, nutmeg, and brown sugar. A full bodied wine, balanced by refreshing acidity on the long finish.

Aged in 100% French Oak, 60% new.
