Saint Julien, Bordeaux

Grape variety:  Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot

About:  The Château Branaire-Ducru possesses particularly old vines, some of which are a century old. They give rise to one of the best Bordeaux Grands Crus. Meanwhile, the second wine uses younger vines, which takes nothing away from its elegance or richness. Developed with the same care as its big sibling, Duluc is an airy wine of great delicacy. This flavoursome vintage is full of promise and yet is already pleasant to drink... More than just a great buy in a Saint-Julien, this is top quality for the price!

Tasting Notes:  Duluc is the second wine of the famous 4th Growth Chateau Branaire-Ducru. About 7,000 cases are made annually from grapes harvested from younger vines than its famous brother.  This beauty is is full of vivid blackcurrant and blackberry flavours with good structured tannins to balance with hints of oak, tobacco and smokiness.  A long silky finish.  Drink now or lay down for up to 10 years.
