Jed and Charles ensure that the deliveries make it through the snowGeneral Wine Company is proud to announce that it was business as usual throughout the snow-covered cold spell we have just experienced nationwide. Through a combination of dedication, forward planning, 4x4 travel, snow shoes, dog sleighs, slipping and sliding and enthusiastic team shovelling, the fleet of vans were able to go the extra mile and keep promises and relieved customers stocked all over the country.Even the shops in Liphook and Petersfield were open for business as usual throughout the worst of the arctic blizzards. The staff battled through and ensured that there was always a clear runway for locals to come in from the cold and have a glass of something soothing whilst buying a ‘winter warmer’ to enjoy by the fire, before heading out into the wilds once again to build snowmen with their school-less children.Alan Snudden, our MD, even slept in his car on one of the worst nights to ensure that the GWC vinous world did not stop turning.
