THE TIMES ABSOLUTELY LOVES WHAT WE HAVE!

The Times this weekend will be extolling the wonderous vinous virtues of the McHenry Hohnen ‘Rocky Road’ Zinfandel – from one of the General Wine Company’s most popular producers.

Jane MacQuitty agrees unreservedly with the General Wine Company about this wine and will report glowingly about the intense blackberries, raisins, black olives and the nestle of cranberry that jumps from the glass.  

Indeed, the man himself, David Hohnen, was on hand at our Liphook Wine Fair in September 2011, to pour his wines and chat to guests about the numerous award winning and boutique wines from Margaret River. It is rare to find good Zinfandel from Australia, but when planted on ironstone gravels and under the watchful eye of David, the ‘Rocky Road’ is a masterpiece.

UK Bar Tenders Guild Open Day - Dinner & Flair Competition

We are very proud to sponsor the Uk Bar Tenders Guild Dinner & Flair Competition.

We are looking to invite all existing members and all interested like minded barmen or barwomen who would like to attend and find out what the UK Bar Tenders Guild can offer.

The location is 1812 (Royal Exeter Hotel) set in the Heart of Bournemouth, on the 24th November starting with informal Open day from 5.00pm to 7.30pm and from 9.00pm there will be a National flair cocktail competition also held at 1812

There will be an exhibition of National and Specialist suppliers of the Bar Trade and chance to discuss bartending and taste products with fellow enthusiasts and ideas what the UKBG (UK Bar Tenders Guild) can do for you.

The UKBG will be running a Special membership scheme to launch on the Day where Bartenders who join will receive a trade discount of 25% on bar listed Cocktails on major/key venues in Bournemouth, details will be announced on the day

The Cost of the Day will be free, so please come to visit the UKBG; you must come along during Open day to claim your free ticket for the night flair competition.
