The estate, owned by Michel Brunet is located in the heart of Margaux, on a beautiful soil amongst some Classified Growths such as Rauzan Gassies and Marquis de Terme. A parcel even abuts Château Margaux. The vineyard was created in 1928 by Mr Ferdinand Brunet, current owner’s great-grand father who worked as cooper in Château Margaux and progressively bought to Château Palmer and Durfort, their most beautiful parcel, located on the plateau of Margaux. The name Barraillots comes from barrails that means the small fences surrounding the parcels.
A slightly tannic, full-bodied but supple wine with a beautiful fruit and a good ability to age.
